Antiques: For the last 30 years I have been actively involved with antiques and collect English blue and white earthenware pre 1820 together with paintings from artists such as Rowland Hilder, Steven Bewsher, and Heidi Harrington (see www.Francis-iles.com). Since 2006 I have organised a monthly antiques fair (photo right) in order to pay for my PhD fieldwork. It is all a long shout from the 22 years I served in the Metropolitan Police ultimately ending up as a firearms officer on the Diplomatic Protection Group.
Portsmouth football club I am a long suffering supporter, but occasionally the sun does shine eg: Portsmouth 4 Southampton 1 (see photo)
