1998– 2003 Postgraduate demonstrator for laboratory based practicals in Introduction to Geology and Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology.
2000-2003 Demonstrating on the first year 11 day annual Easter field class to the Isle of Skye. Supervision of undergraduate mapping students on Raasay.
2002 Co-led two Birkbeck Student Geological Society fieldclasses to Coniston in the Lake District with the late Dr Robin Clayton a dear friend to whom the society dedicated the second event.
2004-2006 Co-leader of above field class with Dr Andrew Beard.
2004-2007 Sessional lecturer for Introduction to Geology. Setting up Saturday petrology sessions for face to face and distance learning students.
